Level Switches

Level Switches are Sensors with an electrical contact output at a specific liquid, powder, or bulk level.  In addition, capacitive, conductive, diaphragm, displacer, float, inductive, optical, paddle, vibrating rod, tilt, and tuning fork models are the different types of level switches available.

Measurement is based on a change in capacitance.   Also, Capacitive Sensors are an insulated electrode that acts as one plate of capacitor and the tank wall (or reference electrode in a non-metallic vessel) acts as the other plate.   The capacitive level sensor depends on the fluid level and the conductivity of the fluid.
